{Monday} Intro to Ashtanga Primary Series

Add some variety to your practice by way of this special series of Ashtanga yoga on Mondays! Please join us for 3 weeks to learn the foundation and postures of this traditional yoga practice. Tap into fresh energy, detoxify, and take on a fun physical challenge in each 90-minute session!

We’ll explore the Ashtanga Primary Series, a set of classical Hatha yoga postures involving interesting yoga postures in a vigorous, stimulating flow, made accessible for all levels.

Traditionally known as “Yoga Chikitsa,” often translated as yoga therapy, this class will engage you in deep breathing, intense focus, and a cleansing sweat. A challenging experience and a wide variety of yoga postures will strengthen you, increase your flexibility and endurance, and take you to a new level of wellness in mind, body, and spirit.

In this series, we will break down the Primary Series into its major components to experience the postures and their variations one by one, allowing you to find your “practice within the practice.” Modifications and advancements are available for all levels – even beginners and first timers!
