Am I a fit for the Indigo Project?

This program is open to anyone, and is invaluable for deepening and broadening the scope of your yogic experience, whether for your personal practice, teaching career, or community involvement. For those who hold a 200-hour or higher RYT designation with Yoga Alliance, the successful completion of this 95-hour children's specialization training curriculum qualifies you for the RCYT designation - Registered Children's Yoga Teacher.

Samadhi KIDS: The Indigo Project

Join us for our 95-hour Yoga Alliance approved Indigo Project Children's Yoga Specialty Teacher Training to enhance your knowledge of yoga and share its benefits with children and families. Inspire family, child & community well-being through the use of music, movement, stories, and stillness training.

You'll gain practical tools for teaching children at different stages and in a variety of settings, as well as better understand the spiritual, emotional, and energetic effects of the yoga and meditation practices.

Upcoming Course Dates, Locations & Details

Training hours depend upon the course schedule, though for weekend courses, are generally 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM.  Weekday courses usually meet 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM.  Class observation and practice teaching is required for those wishing to pursue the full certification for accreditation with Yoga Alliance, to be concluded within three months of the last training date.  Please pack a vegetarian lunch, snacks, and beverages for refreshment during each training session.

Samadhi KIDS Lead Trainers:

SAMADHI BANKS

Samadhi Banks is the founder of Studio Samadhi, offering programs in Texas, Chicago, Illinois, via destination retreats, and online.

She has been dedicated to yoga and meditation for over twenty years, with well over 3000 hours of teaching experience, in addition to over 10 years teaching other forms of fitness and wellness, as well as in implementing corporate wellness programs. Her personal practice and dynamic teaching style are rooted in her study of the Kundalini and Ashtanga traditions, as well as the meditation techniques of Buddhism and the Raj Yoga tradition of Brahma Kumaris. In addition to IKYTA membership, she is also a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and ERYT-500. Samadhi is a Radiant Child (RCYP) Level III children’s yoga teacher and a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT), offering The Indigo Project Children's Yoga Specialty Teacher Training. She is also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Reiki Master Teacher. Samadhi teaches energy work in addition to yogic disciplines and has a passion for our natural potential for health and well-being, regularly mentoring others.

Her integrated approach to energetic awareness and holistic well-being inspires students through workshops, training programs, and private yoga sessions. Samadhi embraces the lifetime journey of self-discovery, consciousness, and spiritual evolution.

KRISTI McDONALD

Kristi McDonald, E-RYT 200 & Registered Children's Yoga Specialist with Yoga Alliance, is the Director of Samadhi Kids and creator of the Indigo Project Children's Yoga Specialty Teacher Training Program.

Ms. McDonald holds a Master's Degree in Education, and is an elementary school coordinator, Reiki practitioner, and licensed Massage Therapist. She is a graduate from The University of Texas at Tyler, Corepower Yoga Teacher Training, and Collinson Massage School.

Ms. McDonald is passionate about helping children and families navigate today’s stressful and ever-changing environments by imparting evidence-based skills from her unique expertise in this wide variety of disciplines. She has also been involved in creating audio practices for children on two digital albums, “The Indigo Project: Meditations for Children” and “HappyThoughts: Positive Practices for Children." Her goal is to build and inspire community well-being by focusing on the health and happiness of the family and child, sharing the teachings of yoga, meditation, and other healing practices.

Ms. McDonald currently offers an array of continuing education and online programs via Samadhi Kids and The Indigo Project trainings and retreats, including convenient online courses and resources.
